This was a thought-provoking question shared with us by a top network marketer in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1997. We were having a 9-day convention and holiday reward trip in Hawaii.
The chairman of our company brought the top leaders to meet his mentor and coach, a very successful network marketer. I was one of the top leaders, at that time I was the No.1 in my company!
He told us that he will ask this thought-provoking question, when his good friend is not listening to him and is talking more than him!
Of course, he will qualify himself that being rich is just not in material terms, it is living your dream, living a rich, blissful and meaningful life with the means and resources to make a positive difference to many people's lives.
He said before he ask this thought-provoking question, he will ask for permission first, "Can I speak to you like a brother?". After he got his permission, he will asked that question, and then followed with this question, "Do you have any plans for your retirement?" He told us that over 90% of people do not have a retirement plan!
By asking thought-provoking questions, he will get the person to think of his situation and why he must do something about it.
We were all ears listening to his great success tips and he told us network marketing is not for everyone and it should be that way, or else who will be serving us at the restaurants, hotels and airports?
It all boils down to different strokes for different folks and we must respect that. Not everyone wants to be a doctor, dentist, lawyer or accountant, isn't it?
I love to use acronyms to get my message across and "RICH?" is a great acronym for Results, Integrity, Communication, Help and ? - Represents asking the Right Questions.

Results - Are you happy with the results in your business and your life right now? If you continue to do the same, you will get the same. Albert Einstein defined insanity as "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
For things to change, first you must change and it all starts with your beliefs. Do you want to work hard or smart? Are you willing to learn from those who are successful? Are you teachable? Are you willing to follow instruction?
Integrity - God has made it very clear in the Bible, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12
Be a person of good character, do the right things and you will get the right results. Work with the universal law of cause and effect - what you sow you shall reap - what goes around comes around in your business and your life.
Communication - How well you communicate with yourself and others will determine how well you live. Are you communicating positively with yourself and others? Are you investing money, time and effort to improve your communication skill?
Help - The more people you help to be successful, the more successful you will be. When you are helping others, you are helping yourself! Give and you shall receive and the more you give, the more you receive.
With 22 years of experience in network marketing, the key factor to success is love, and helping is loving, caring, sharing and giving. And a network marketing business is about loving, caring, sharing and giving.
