People are losing big time because of ignorance and they accuse people of being in cults when they don't understand what the others are doing! I recently attended the Landmark Forum and I know many people are asking is Landmark Forum a cult?
I have been in network marketing for over 21 years and have seen thousands of people losing a great opportunity because of ignorance and a closed mind! I attended a very popular seminar called Money & You and it is a personal development and business education seminar but because of ignorance, some people think it is a cult!
I checked for the definition of "Cult" on my Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English and here is what I found. 1. It is an extreme religious group that is not part of an established religion. 2. A fashionable belief, idea or attitude that influences people's lives. Examples: Diet, exercise...It's all part of this cults of self improvement. 3 A group of people who are very interested in a particular thing. 4. A system of religious beliefs and practices.
If we go by the third definition of a group of people who are very interested in a particular thing, then many people are into a cult of one kind or another! I think most people are referring to an extreme religious group or group that have certain beliefs that would break families or destroy relationships and have negative repercussions.

What is your fashionable belief, idea or attitude that influences your life and other people's lives? I hope you do not belong to the ignorant, negative and cynical group who chose to stick to their beliefs, ideas and attitude that hurt themselves and those around them!
Why am I writing this post, I just attended the Landmark Forum and it was recommended by a very good friend, I google it and it seems that many people think it is a cult! I cannot say for 100% that it is not a cult because I didn't attend all the seminars. I think it is not fair for those who didn't attend the first seminar to make a judgement on it based on ignorance, assumption or hearsay.
My conclusion after attending the first seminar is that it is a personal development seminar with great sharing of ideas and insights in an interesting conversational way that can transform and improve your life and the lives of your loved ones and friends! By attending it you have a better understanding of what happened in your life and why you think the way you think! I can see that most of the people, if not all, who attended the seminar have benefited from it and would recommend their loved ones and friends to attend it too.
Over 21 years, I have invested over $100,000 on seminars and the investment in the three and a half day seminar is S$1,177 which is much lower than internet marketing seminars charged by rogue internet marketing gurus who promised people the mood and left them in the mud!
I know many people who have invested $3,000 to $10,000 on personal development and business seminars that get them up jumping and shouting and really didn't help them make a cent from all the big promises that was made to them! It is criminal for those who conduct such seminars and to promise so much but did not deliver!
It is only wise to ask those who have attended the seminars to share their experiences with you. Do your due diligence. The reason I attended the Landmark Forum is because it is recommended by a friend I respect very much, and at the preview, what they shared made perfect sense to me!
You don't know what you don't know. I think "IGNORANCE" is a great acronym for Integrity, Greatness, Niche, Observe, Results, Action, Numbers, Communication and Education.

Greatness - Great service to many people is the way to greatness. Network marketing is a wonderful business that gives you the opportunity to serve many people and help them live a better and happy life!
Niche - Discover your purpose and passion in life. Different strokes for different folks.
Observe - I learned this great lesson from my Tai Chi Sifu, Grandmaster Sia, he told me that one of the ways to learn Tai Chi is to observe how the masters do it. If you have observed how the rich and successful people earn money, you will know that they do not work for money, they have people and money working for them!

Results - Albert Einstein definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." If you are not happy with the results in your business and your life, you must take action and do something different and positive, isn't it?
Action - Everything is cause and effect and if you do not like the results, you must change the actions that are causing those results!
Numbers - You must do enough to get what you want in life. Always work with the Law of Averages!
Communication - How well you live will depend on how well you communicate with yourself and others. The quality of your life will depend on the quality of your questions. Why work hard when you can work smart? Why depend on yourself and 24 hours in a day when you can leverage on thousands of people and thousands of hours in a day? Why not learn how to make your first million in a wonderful business from someone who has done it?
Education - You don't know what you don't know. And what you don't know can hurt you physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually. "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." - Benjamin Franklin.
