"PRINCE OF PEACE" is a great acronym for Peace, Resurrection, Integrity, News, Christ, Express, Obey, Faithfulness, Plan, Education, Ask, Communion, Empower and "!" - represents the Irresistible Offer!
I woke up at about 5 am this morning and God has inspired me to write this post during this Christmas time for people to get to know Jesus Christ better and He is known as the Prince of Peace.
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6-7
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger." - Luke 2:10-12
Peace - The world want peace and God has inspired me with this wonderful idea to achieve it, for the United Nations to enact this powerful international law, if the leaders want to have a war, they must be willing to lead by example and get into a mixed martial arts fighting cage and fight! And the winner will win the war or the alternative is to have a peaceful agreement.
The other powerful international law is to have these leaders at the front of the battlefield with their families to witness the atrocities and horrors of war and where there is a strong possibility of them being killed by the bombs, missiles and flying bullets!
These powerful international laws will prevent millions of soldiers and innocent civilians from being killed in a war and even prevent a nuclear war that can kill billions and destroy half of the earth!
Because these world leaders placed money, power and their selfish interests first before people's precious lives, these powerful international laws will ensure that there will be peaceful agreements and we will enjoy world peace. These leaders will not want to suffer what mixed martial artists suffered in the fighting cage!
Resurrection - Jesus made it very clear that God is in charge when He was raised on the third day and over 400 people witnessed the power of God over death and the resurrection is to make it clear to all that God is in charge and He sacrificed his one and only son to give us salvation and everlasting, joyful and meaningful life in God's kingdom!
Integrity - You've heard it many times that God is Love and Love is God, haven't you? God is also Wisdom, Integrity, Faithfulness, Goodness and Wonderful!
The words of wisdom from Buckminster Fuller, he said, "Integrity is the essence of everything." He hit it on the nail because integrity is God!
You can trust God to give you the best definition of integrity, more importantly it is God's great commandment!
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12
If the world leaders follow God's great commandment, we will be enjoying world peace and prosperity!
News - People are sick and tired of bad news aggressively promoted by the mainstream media, people need the Good News that gives them salvation and everlasting life in God's kingdom!
The cold hard truth is our days are truly numbered and sooner or later all must die. The Good News is you can have salvation when you accept Jesus into your life and Jesus is love. Love is the gateway to God.
Christ - We must be crystal clear on who is Jesus Christ? He is God who came to this world in the flesh and God is Love and if we want God in our heart, we must have love in our heart. And you can trust God to give you the best definition of love.
"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Express - Jesus said "Follow me" and when He walked on earth, He expressed the fruits of the Holy Spirit and they are Love, Joy, Faithfulness, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Patience, Peace and Self-Control. If we want to be disciples of Jesus we must follow Him and express the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our daily life!
Obey - The fall of Adam and Eve is because of not obeying in God's commandment not to eat from the tree of the knowldege of good and evil. And many times in life we do not obey our Heavenly Father and our parents who have our best interest at heart, isn't it? And we suffered greatly for it!
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:16-17
Here are some Bible verses about obedience:
- John 14:15 - “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- 1 Peter 1:14 - As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance.
- Acts 5:29 - But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
- 1 John 5:3 - For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments.
- Romans 5:19 - For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Faithfulness - God is always faithful and He is always with us to our last breath! Are we faithful to God? To be faithful to God is to obey Him and accept Jesus into your life and He made it very clear "Follow me."
Plan - God has a plan for you!
Bible verses about God's plan for you include:
- "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11)
- "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps." (Proverbs 16:9)
- "God’s plans for us are full of hope and purpose." (Jeremiah 29:11)
You must also have a plan of what you want to be, isn't it? You've heard the popular saying, "People do not plan to fail, they fail to plan." More importantly know God's plan for you!
Education - You don't know what you don't know, isn't it?
Education is the highest form of leverage, you learn it once and you can apply it as many times as possible in your business and your life!
"The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance." - Socrates
Here are some Bible verses about learning and education:
- Psalm 32:8: "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."
- Philippians 4:9: "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."
- Psalm 25:4: "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths."
- Proverbs 1:7: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."
- Daniel 1:17: "To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning."
Ask - You can trust God to give you the best success formula followed by the best advice!
Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
True and False Prophets
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law." - Matthew 7: 7-29
Communion - Communion is one of the most significant things in the Bible. It’s a spiritual act that was given by Christ, and is for remembrance. “Do this in remembrance of me.” (1 Corinthians 11:24-25). So, when we partake of communion, we are to remember the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection.
Empower - When you give a man a fish you feed him only for a day but when you teach him how to fish, he feeds himself and his family for a lifetime and he can teach others to do the same. Help people to live a better life because helping is loving, caring and sharing.
More importantly be the fisher of men.
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” - Matthew 4:19
Follow God's great commission.
Here are twelve powerful Bible verses about the great commission:
1. Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
2. Mark 16:15 – “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
3. Luke 24:47-48 – “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
4. Acts 1:8 – “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
5. Romans 10:14-15 – “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
6. 2 Timothy 4:2 – “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
"!" - represents the Irresistible Offer! - You can trust God to give you the best irresistible offer!
"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33
Yes, you can have all the good things you want in this life which is finite, temporary and transitory, more importantly you want everlasting, joyful and meaningful life in God's kingdom!
There is a thought-provoking story of a 50-year old woman who believe she will live to 70, so she specially made a book with 7,300 blank pages (20 years x 365 days), each page representing a day of her life and at the end of the day she will tear away a page, knowing that day will never return to her!
Yes, truly our days are numbered and even there is no guarantee we live to see tomorrow because many people did not live to see the next day!
God is sovereign, He is in charge and our life is not over until He says it's over! We must trust God and pray to him every day to guide us in His righteous way, and always be kind to others because all are children of God!
Jesus tells the sheep that they will now inherit the kingdom. They cared for Him when He was hungry and thirsty, a stranger and naked, sick and in prison. The surprised followers ask when they did these things for Him, and Jesus replies, “The King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (Matthew 25:40).
I hope this God-inspired blog post will help you get closer to God and seek His grace and mercy and His gift of salvation. In Jesus name I pray.
